Summary

Online water content of crude oil analyzer is a method for online measurement of water content in crude oil in real time. It is according to 《GB/T8929-2006 Determination of Crude Oil Water Content Distillation Method》. The method can overcome the shortcomings of the traditional methods (such as microwave method, short wave absorption method, ray method, capacitance method, etc.), this is the simple method can obtain accurate measurement results.

Problems with traditional measurement methods

Most of the world's oil fields have entered maturity, and the measurement of crude oil moisture content is of great significance. The main disadvantages of the manual measurement method are small sampling frequency and large sampling time interval. It is easy to be affected by human factors, poor representativeness of the sample, low measurement accuracy, cumbersome process, large energy consumption, high labor intensity and high cost. It is a non-online measurement method and cannot meet the requirements of real-time measurement in the field. Therefore, the measurement of the moisture content of crude oil should focus on the development of instruments for online measurement.

Microwave method and short-wave absorption method. At present, the crude oil moisture content monitor developed by some units in China applies these two methods to measure the water content of crude oil. The measurement principle belongs to the point-line sampling of the two-phase fluid in the tube, which cannot correctly and comprehensively reflect the mixing. In the case of two-phase flow, the measurement accuracy under laboratory conditions can meet the requirements, but the accuracy requirements cannot be met under the conditions of the field conditions.

Electromagnetic method, density method and other structures are complex and there is no mature product.

The measurement range of the radio frequency method is small.

Although the ray method product technology is relatively mature, the product cost is higher.

There are also many practical problems in the capacitance method, such as the mixing state of gas and liquid, and the scaling and waxing of the electrode surface inside and outside the capacitor sensor, which affect the measurement accuracy and the measurement of the flower circumference.
